Committee Overview
The Membership & Professional Ethics Committee oversees membership matters, professional ethics, and ensures adherence to the highest standards of professional conduct within the risk management profession. This committee plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity and reputation of IRMZA and its members.
Key Responsibilities
Reviewing and approving membership applications, ensuring applicants meet the required qualifications and standards for their membership category.
Developing and maintaining professional ethics standards and codes of conduct for all IRMZA members.
Monitoring member compliance with professional standards and addressing any ethical concerns or violations.
Overseeing the different membership categories including Fellow, Certified, Technical Specialist, Associate/Affiliate, and Student memberships.
Investigating and addressing complaints related to member conduct and ensuring fair and transparent disciplinary processes.
Supporting professional development initiatives and ensuring members maintain their professional competence and standards.
Fellow Membership (FIRM)
The highest level of individual membership, recognizing exceptional achievement and contribution to the profession
Certified Membership (CIRM)
For professionals who have achieved certified status through recognized qualifications and experience
Technical Specialist (SIRM)
For professionals with specialized technical expertise in specific areas of risk management
Associate/Affiliate Membership
For individuals interested in risk management who may not yet meet the requirements for certified membership
Student Membership
For students pursuing risk management education and qualifications
Corporate Membership
For organizations, covering subscription of up to five but no more than ten individuals from the organization
